There is no hiding Ray's passion for creating a great experience for a couple and their guest, including wedding vendors! Where do I even begin. We had our wedding here in August and I have nothing but incredible things to say about Ray, and The Gates. We originally had plans of having a larger wedding at a different venue and I am so beyond thankful I reached out to Ray. Right from the start Ray responded so quickly. He reminded us many times he wanted to make the process easy for us and he did exactly that and more. I had no stress or worries. Everything was so simple! I love that we didn’t have to worry about any additional things like a DJ, bartenders, alcohol, set up/take down, catering, decorating (the gardens are absolutely stunning alone), the list goes on. Ray and his staff do it all. We used the study upstairs to get ready in the morning of, and it overlooked the horse pasture… I mean come on, it felt like a fairytale! Our guests raved about the food and still are! All in all it was such a beautiful day and I can’t recommend this venue enough. Thank you all so much for everything ?

I wish I could give Ray and his amazing team more than 5 stars! They catered my daughters engagement brunch, their team showed up on time at the house and were setup to serve our guests literally within minutes. We decided on a crepe station, an omelet station and to serve French toast sticks in cups with syrup as an appetizer. The food, the presentation, and the service was incredible, we had guests calling us for weeks after commenting on how amazing the Gates food and staff were. They supplied real dishes, silverware, and serviettes for our guests, and their staff cleared dishes as soon as our guests completed eating. Once our meal service was completed, the Gates took away everything and left the kitchen exactly as it was before they arrived! We were able to enjoy the engagement party without a worry....the guests were fed well and we didn't have to do anything, including no cleanup or dishes! I highly recommend trying the Gates off-site catering team for your next family event...it was so nice to spend the entire day with our guests and not have to vacate a venue due to the next reservation coming in...and again the food and service was AMAZING!

We had our winter wedding at The Gates in the ballroom and it was the most amazing experience for us! From the beginning Nadine D was so helpful in finding us the right space for our event, we had changes in the number of guests and she was so accommodating to get us the perfect space. Everything leading up to the day was smooth and easy, we never had any stress about the venue! We could come in and see the space multiple times and got to taste test our selections.

The day of was no less than perfect, we have heard nothing but amazing feedback from our guests as well! The food was outstanding and we were able to make customizations that went above and beyond. The staff were all professional and the plated meals went without any issue.

We cannot say enough good things about The Gates and would recommend to anyone looking to host a wedding or event. Thank you again Nadine D and all of the amazing staff for making it the best night of our lives!

My wife and I got married at The Gates on Roblin and they provided an extraordinary experience for our wedding. They were incredibly accommodating to every detail and were very willing to allow us to take photos around the venue, as well as decorate our room to our taste. The rooms are very spacious, we were able to dine 16 people comfortably in the Study upstairs. The food was excellent and there were plenty of options for everyone, including vegetarian. I highly recommend the Gates for small to medium size events. I look forward to returning for personal dinner dates.

We wanted to go on a late Valentines date so we decided to try The Gates. It was easy enough to get a reservation but then again, this was a Sunday evening with bitterly cold temperatures outside...not many people venture out in weather that punishing. We ended up paying a bit more than we're used to but for a special occasion it's a good choice.
We had a lovely window table and there were enough other patrons that we were able to eavesdrop on some interesting conversations (this mainly just happened as the gentleman at another table must have been deaf and was overcompensating. )
The food was delicious. For a starter we had the brie, which is a meal on its own. Then we had the Bison short ribs and Stuffed Chicken. The ribs were definitely the better of the two but the chicken held its own. Creme Brule for dessert was the perfect end to a delightful meal.

This place was amazing. Just as everyone said it was going to be the Prime Rib was melt in your mouth. Cocktails were great too. Had their version of an amaretto sour. Our server Ethan F was amazing too! He was very professional yet waited us with his own personal touch. Down to earth and joked along with our antics. Thanks Ethan & The Gates!
