Pete and Hannah were our amazing cooks from Spoonycooks at our Pure Morzine chalet. They were absolutely amazing chefs and hosts. The food was very special, high end, beautifully presented and delicious. Every breakfast was different every day, from a full English to eggs Benedict. Dinner was sumptuous and extremely plentiful to allow for a range of hungry skiers as well as very adaptable to allergies, teenage dislikes etc.
The menus ranged from alpine soufflé and Moroccan aubergine starters to tea-smoked duck and chicken ballotine with Hasselback potatoes to a full local cheese board selection and lavender crème brûlée for dessert.
They also gave us amazing advice on where to ski and where to eat on their days off. Plus they were always super, friendly, super smiley and all-round lovely.
Our one and only quibble (which I believe is a Spoonycooks responsibility) was the basic wine package which was generally not good. The higher range package we believed was a huge price difference we weren’t prepared to take, thinking the basic should be OK. On a plus note we didn’t abuse too much of it and were happy to buy our own very delectable and pocket friendly Crémant, French sparkling wine.
Thanks to Pete and Hannah for giving us a fabulous gourmet break in the Alps!

We had an amazing week in Morzine with Pete and Hanna whipping up a storm in our chalet kitchen. Super friendly, so knowledgeable, and outstanding food and service ! I don't know how they prepared such high calibre meals for 18 people in a tiny space, but it was exceptional. Highly recommend

We are so very happy to have found Spoony Cooks! Sarah and Rich are very professional, they arrived and prepared a fantastic meal with ease, and discretion, leaving the kitchen as clean (if not cleaner) than when they arrived. The food was so tasty and well presented – loved that you are served a pretty plate of food and then bowls of extras arrive on the table for those with bigger appetites to top up – or top up on your favourite part! Their website is so easy to use and navigate around for booking too - highly recommend this fab company! Thank you to Sarah and Rich for a memorable meal, we will be in touch when we return to the alps! 🙂
