Excellent tasting experience just an hour train ride outside of Paris. We’ve done everything from very commercialized to private wine experiences. This is a must do! Nigel and Cathy are extremely knowledgeable on both the area and it’s wine. You get the benefit of visiting a beautiful part of Loire Valley, tasting a great variety of wine from all over, and feeling like you are a part of the family. Lunch is hand prepared, and exquisite. I cannot recommend this experience enough.

Our time with Cathy and Nigel was the highlight of our trip to the Loire Valley. They were so incredibly knowledgeable about the region, and two of the nicest people we've ever met. We learned a ton about the wine of the region and had a great time doing it. This is an absolute must-do for anyone coming to the Loire Valley. We couldn't recommend Le Tasting Room enough!

Wonderful. We did the 1/2 day "wine education / dinner." Cathy and Nigel were wonderful hosts. Everyone in our group enjoyed learning about the wines of the Loire Valley. The discussion led by Cathy was interesting and insightful, without being too academic. (Over wine, how could the discussion be anything less than interesting.)
The best part of the day was the dinner in the cantina. Of all of our travel adventures, this meal was certainly a top 5 event. The food was outstanding, as was the atmosphere.
I look forward to returning in the years ahead.

Cathy and Nigel are something very special. They are the nicest people you can find to spend a day with. They are, however, also the most clued-up people to take you through a wine experience. Nigel (a former farmer) knows his terroirs like no one else. Cathy is the wine equivalent to Bruce Lee: She holds the highest honours in her trade. I have never met anyone who is more knowledgeable about all the moves! So, you’re in for a real treat with the nicest people and, because they’re so knowledgable, you will also get in with the very best vignerons! Much recommended!

Highly recommend spending a day with Nigel and Cathy when visiting the Loire valley. They planned all of the tastings and the winery visit based on our preferences and even accommodated dietary restrictions and a baby! Their home was beautiful and the lunch was one of my favorite meals in France. They were experts on the wines of the region, but were very approachable and poured a variety of wines including value wines. Overall a lovely and unique wine tasting experience!
