The guy behind the counter was possibly the rudest person I've ever experienced in retail.
Went in to enquire about a wine tasting that's was advertised, and he was so disinterested, would barely look up from his laptop, and made us feel like we were dumb for asking.

From looking at past reviews of this place it's clearly a trend at this place, but I would advise this guy to get his act together as what's the point in working with people if clearly you don't want to.
We live in the area, and won't be back purely because of the staff, and it's a shame because the shop looks great and the selection is very impressive.

Okay so I’m leaving a review to maybe clarify on a consistent pattern from previous reviews. I’ve lived in this area for 5 years been shopping here since day 1. when I first tried out the spot YES homie was not very receptive to question. However he is like your no F’s given uncle. The one you don’t want to be asking dumb questions to. In other words this shop is serious if you don’t know what you want don’t ask he will only help you find what you really want. So only actual questions With regions and grapes slight detail like “high tannin” like try to ask a good question. If you want to ask about “what’s good” what’s your favorite go home and do some homework. Anyways Other then that if you get in his good grace and you learn about some wine yourself. he willll never ever ever ever give you a bad recommendation.

I absolutely love this spot for discovering new wines or liquors the people that work there are so friendly and it feels like you are walking into an Italian or French home instead of an over packed NYC liquor store. Brooklyn vibes in the best way. I could wander around and look at all the unique options for a while highly recommend it!

Bibber & Bell are operating during COVID! You can get delivery or pickup through their website or by phone. They have free delivery from 2PM-8PM. All cases (12 bottles+) of wine are 15% off.

I think it's also great that they outlined their pickup process for customers, so there are guidelines to follow. It helps everyone be responsible.

Great wine selection, but the older gentleman who works there is consistently rude. I live around the block and have been in about 5 times.

Example: Today I walked in and the store was empty. I asked him to tell me more about their rose selection and to provide a recommendation. His response: “read the descriptions”.

Honestly, the selection is great but the same person has been disinterested/rude every time I go in and I won’t be going back.

Good selection of wine but the staff and service are very hit or miss. I stopped by Thursday night and the older, grey haired man behind the counter could not have cared less about trying to help me. Made it seem like it was an immense inconvenience for him to get up, stop looking at his computer, and answer the door (you can't go inside right now due to Covid). Practically rolled his eyes when I asked about a couple bottles, so I went around the corner to spend my money elsewhere.

I love this place! Staff is super chill and gives great recommendations. I've liked everything I've purchased here, regardless of price point. Sign up for their emails too- very educational. If you are feeling adventurous, get the box where they pick for you. This is a unique and wonderful store.

Great bottle shop. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful, with great recommendations no matter what your budget (and won't make you feel like a cheap wino when you say you wanna spend twelve bucks).

Lots of interesting stuff, both in the wine selection as well as spirits. Love this place.
